MOBILE MESSAGING TERMS

These Mobile Messaging Terms apply to text messages (SMS) sent by Sundial Media & Technology, LLC (“SMTG,” “we,” “us” or “our”) for the ESSENCE 360 and Refinery29 mobile apps. ESSENCE and Refinery29 are brands of Sundial Media & Technology, LLC. These terms supplement our Terms of Use and our Privacy Statement.

1. What We Send

We send one-time verification codes by text message so you can sign in to the ESSENCE 360 or Refinery29 mobile app with your mobile number, or add or verify a mobile number on your account. Each message names the app you are signing in to. We do not send marketing or promotional messages under this program. Agreeing to receive sign-in codes does not sign you up for marketing text messages. If we offer marketing text messages, we will ask for your consent separately and show the terms that apply when you opt in.

2. How You Opt In

You opt in when you enter your mobile number in the app, tick the consent box, and request a code. We ask for your consent each time you enter a number. Receiving text messages is not a condition of using the apps or of any purchase. You can always sign in with your email address instead.

3. Message Frequency

We send one message each time you request a code. We do not send recurring messages.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier’s rates and plan terms apply to the messages we send and to any message you send to us.

5. How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages from us. You will receive one message confirming that you have opted out. After you opt out we cannot send you sign-in codes by text, and you can sign in with your email address instead. To receive text messages again, reply UNSTOP or START.

6. Help and Support

Reply HELP to any message for help. For the ESSENCE 360 app, email e360appsupport@essence.com. For the Refinery29 app, email appsupport@refinery29.com. You can also write to Sundial Media & Technology, LLC, 34 35th Street, Suite 5A, Brooklyn, NY 11232.

7. Carriers

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device and is not guaranteed.

8. Eligibility

You must be the account holder of the mobile number you enter, or have the account holder’s permission to use it. This program is available for US mobile numbers only.

9. Privacy

We use your mobile number and your opt-in for this program to send the codes you request, to keep a record of your consent, and to prevent fraud and abuse. We do not use them to send you marketing text messages unless you separately agree to receive them. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number, your text messaging opt-in data or your consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Our Privacy Statement explains how we handle personal data.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Mobile Messaging Terms from time to time by posting the updated terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
